Privacy Policy

Text Simplifier collects minimal data to provide its service:

• Usage Data: We store a count of your daily simplifications locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. This data is used to enforce the free quota of 5 simplifications per day and resets daily at midnight UTC.
• Text Data: Selected text or PDFs are sent to our backend for OCR (via Google Vision API) and simplification (via OpenAI API). Text data is temporarily stored in AWS S3 with a presigned URL (15-minute expiration) and deleted afterward. We do not retain your text data.
• Payment Data: Premium upgrades are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store payment information; Stripe handles all payment processing.

We do not share your data with third parties except as required for processing (Google Vision API, OpenAI API, AWS S3, Stripe). For questions, contact us at radwan.hoque11@gmail.com.
